Every year, Nonprofit Day is a special reminder of the incredible work being done by organizations that pour their hearts into making our community a better place. For me and the team at EAC, it’s more than just a day on the calendar—it’s an opportunity to reflect on the special clients we get to work with, the partnerships and volunteerism we’ve built and the difference we’ve made together.
Over close to nine years of business we’ve worked with various nonprofit organizations including Senior Law Program of Southern Nevada, Public Education Foundation, Dignity Health RED Rose Program and Discovery Children’s Museum.
Here are a few ways we have worked with them and helped elevate their presence in the community:
Elevating Community Outreach
The start of Ericka Aviles Consulting revolved around helping organizations including nonprofits with developing and implementing effective community outreach strategies. It’s an integral pillar of any organization that wants to reach and make an impact in our community. It’s more than just getting the word out; it’s about creating genuine connections with the people who need these services the most and stakeholders who will help champion the message and impact.
One of my favorite projects was collaborating with Dignity Health R.E.D. (Responsible Early Detection) Rose Program where we developed a tailored outreach strategy to help reach Hispanic women and stress the importance of obtaining free mammograms. From key partnerships to community outreach, we helped secure activations with La Bonita Supermarkets, worked with local media outlets, developed bilingual social media content and identified 48 new community events that the RED Rose Program did not already have a presence at, totaling 112 new referrals and brand recognition across the community! The RED Rose Program also saw a 912% call volume increase compared to the year prior. Seeing the increased turnout at events – and ultimately in the lives impacted was incredibly rewarding! This is why we do what we do!

Engaging Stakeholders
Nonprofits rely on strong relationships with stakeholders—whether they’re donors, partners, or volunteers. One thing that our team love doing is making important and genuine introductions to key stakeholders in our community that lead to lifelong partnerships. We take it up another level and work with our clients on crafting presentations, reports and collateral that not only inform but inspire. This also helps with securing vital funding. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you’ve played a part in helping a nonprofit gain the support it needs to keep going.
Our partnerships assisted with securing funding for Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) Hispanic Outreach campaign from the Las Vegas Raiders as well as provided connections with the Latin Chamber of Commerce and Latino Bar Association to further promote SLP senior services to a mass targeted audience in their organization’s monthly newsletters.
Since 1978, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) has proudly provided no-cost legal services to over 125,000 seniors in Southern Nevada.
Our team also contributed in promoting Public Education Foundation (PEF) programs for teachers, scholarship opportunities and reaching bilingual audiences in their language to create more awareness within local stakeholders and elected officials especially for the Hispanic & Latino Legacy Dinner.

Creating Digital and Promotional Assets
In today’s world, a nonprofit’s digital presence is crucial. Over the years, we’ve designed everything from social media campaigns and marketing collateral to promotional items and banners for events.
Our team designed and rebranded Southern Nevada Senior Law Program marketing assets and collateral to recruit pro bono attorneys, to promote English & Spanish workshops and special events like their annual SLP Salutes Senior Advocates event. Seeing those materials come to life and knowing they helped elevate brand awareness and presence at community events—both in terms of visibility and impact—was a proud moment for our team.
Our EAC team has been working tirelessly to create outstanding assets for SLP’s events
Creating Spaces For Conversation
I am honored to serve on the Discovery Children’s Museum DEI committee which creates spaces and opportunities to have safe conversations and ways to identify advancement of its mission.
Having boards and committees who reflect the community and audiences being served is critically important and provides genuine perspectives and opportunities that you may have not previously had.
The above organizations continue to make incredible strides in providing key services and educational opportunities across our community. We’re grateful for their trust in our firm to continue elevating their outreach and impact. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community.
